| NOWSHIP is planting one tree for every box you ship |
NOWSHIP uses shipping boxes to transport personal effects from origin to destination and we've been wondering exactly what goes into manufacturing our packing systems.
According to the Corrugated Packaging Alliance, corrugated cardboard is the single most recycled packaging material with 92.9 recovered and with 47 percent of each corrugated cardboard box having that equal amount of recycled fiber. The Environmental Protection Agency has unfortunately removed their citing but an early 2017 article by the agency claimed that we save 17 trees for every ton of paper that is recycled.
Here is what we learned: 45 of the shipping boxes used by NOWSHIP US and 50 NOWSHIP UK boxes are created through one single tree (mixing new and recycled resources). While these rugged shipping boxes keep our customer's goods safe (we've had no claims of damages), as a company NOWSHIP has decided we can no longer just be a consumer of these resources and it's time to give back.

NOWSHIP is, through Fourth Grade Foresters, providing one tree per box shipped. To be clear, we won't be replacing trees to be harvested, instead we'll be replacing trees to be enjoyed, to educate our next generation to be good stewards and reap the benefits of reforestation tree by tree.
